Sahyog Trust

Sahyog Trust is a multipurpose as well as multi-facility charitable organization under the societies Registration Act, which continues to bring improvements by virtue of deeper observation of services. We at Sahyog have excelled in various fields by striving hard to develop as an organization and serve the society with complete dedication and commitment. The Trust is led by a Board of Trustees comprised of high profiled dedicated people from different fields of expertise. All major policy decisions rest with the board.
Sahyog Care home, a old age home for Senior Citizens is situated at Bhuigaon-Dongri VILLLAGE, 5 K.M. FROM VASAI (W) RAILWAY STATION The old age home was built up to realize its vision of bringing happiness and dignity to the lives of elderly in their later years. Nestled in green lush scenic nature, the Sahyog Care Home is Vasai’s one and only old age home which provides holistic care and assistance to older adult from all walks of life. It is a 100- bed accommodation old age home which has fully equipped with all kinds of facilities such as round the clock ambulance , indoor games, Recreational Activities, yoga and fitness center, prayer hall, Library cum reading room, veg/ non veg hygienic food etc.

Mission

Our mission is to work towards developing and implementing activities that enhance productive aging. We will provide services that enable older adults to remain healthy, active and empowered, constantly striving to be a leader in long-term care, to live & to enhance the quality of life of elders through innovative and comprehensive care with love and affection. The aim is to serve elderly citizens in a holistic manner, enabling them to live active, dignified and healthier.

Mr. Simon Martin

Founder

The founder of the Sahyog Foundation is a well-known poet and social activist. His books are translated into Hindi and German languages. Maharashtra State board of education has included his poem “Dushkal” in the syllabus of class 9th. He is actively involved in training programs of trainers. For the last 30 years is tirelessly working for the cause of the poor and downtrodden of the society, especially empowerment of Adivasis of Palghar and thane district of Maharashtra, conducting for them medical camps, personality development courses, legal advice, health centers, and study center s for their children many women’s self-cell groups are flourishing in and around Vasai in his guidance and leadership. From the very beginning, he has been fighting for the cause of the environment and was part of Harit Vasai w movement. He has received many awards from so many organizations as well as from the government of Maharashtra for his tireless work for the upliftment of the poor and the marginalized people of society.

Infantcia Anthony Martin

Principal Counselor & Administrator

Infantcia Martin is a practising counselor and psychotherapist with extensive experience in psychological issues for all age groups. She has been a practising advocate and legal consultant for more than thirty years, specializing in civil and family matters. Her vast experience also includes serving various NGOs which involved different kinds of people such HIV affected/infected women, children (Chirag), Ragpickers/Street Girls with single or no parents (Sanjivani), Orphan or street boys (Narayan Trust), Sex workers and their children (Good Shepherd), and Manav Seva vrudh Ashram.

Dr. Kaustubh P. Tamhane

M.D.(Hom.)

He is the Scholar of Ph.D.(Medicine) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik Consultant Physician with specialization in Homoeopathic Internal Medicine since 2004. Area of interest: Psychosomatic Phenomena that is effect of Mind on the Body. Dr. Kaustubh is the part of Sahyog Trust from last twenty years and actively involved in Trust’s various activities especially medical missions.

Mr. Manoj Acharya

Journalist

A well known journalist, a reviewer and a scholarly art critics, he is a multi talented person with a golden heart. For last thirty years he has been tirelessly working with many social and charitable organization’s. Presently he is a chief editor of Indus Source Books Publications and is actively engaged in the activities of Sahyog Charitable Trust.
Nixon Francis Fernandes

Br. Nixon Fernandes

A commerce graduate from Mumbai University and A perpetually professed ex – religious brother, who left his home for serving the poor and needy. He spends most part of his life in Punjab and Karnataka, mostly taking care of of the homeless poor students and old people.
Sophie Augustine Kini

Sr. Sophie Kini (FC)

Born in Borivali, Mumbai, she entered the Congregation of the Cross and made her perpetual profession in 2013. She has done her General nursing and midwifery from Holy Spirit school of Nursing , Andheri and thereafter worked as a Staff Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Malabar Hill, as well as in Palliative Care Center at St. Joseph’s Emilie care center, Bandra Mumbai. She is motivated to work in an environment which promotes wholistic growth involving herself in exploring the opportunities and accept full responsibility towards task assigned to her.
